I stayed for 3 nights and was only there after 17h00 due to commitments during the day .I only had supper there at nights . I must compliment the chef on all 3 nights stays. The first Night My wife and I tasted your burgers which was out of this world.. That is genuinely a gourmet burger. Out of this world.. recommend it to anyone. I am hoping its the same quality at the city lodgers here in PE, so that I can eat there when going out to eat, instead of an overpriced restaurant The second night we choose the ribs with salad chips.. .Taste out of this world. and soft . It melted in the mouth ..WOW. The ribs was nicely cut up ,which allowed me to jump in and eat straight away. Real value for money The 3rd and final nigh (Sunday) . we ordered the chicken pizza(think it was th Tikka). Topping was so thick you would think you have a pie.. full of chicken and cheese .. For 110.00 definitely a bargain.. Two of us could not even complete it and I am a Pizza lover.. Please send out your chefs to PE so that they can train the chefs this side. Lastly The barman Whose name was Jacob gave me excellent service.. He even brought our meals up to the room for me.. where we were supposed to collect it.. Special Thanks to him Lastly ..although the area is suspect.. Lost of people hanging outside around ..which can be scary for a young family.. The place itself and security is superb.. Would rate it a 4 star plus experience for me Morga Moodaley

The location was excellent, within walking distance to three museums and a mall, just across the street. We felt quite safe during the daytime and like other prudent travelers were inside by dark. The Africa Museum and the Workers Museum, as well as the Bio-Science Museum are only a 10–15-minute walk. Fitzgerald Square is just across from the Africa Museum and there is a theater at the other end of the entrance to the mall. The breakfast was quite satisfactory, a very nice buffet, with fresh cut fruit, cereals, eggs cooked to order, several types of sausage, bacon, a nice assortment of breads, pastry, apples, oranges, bananas and deli-sliced meat, cheese, olives etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ronald, the daytime front desk manager, called Bolt several times for us, because my app was not working. Blessing from security made sure we had directions to the museums and could find out way back to the hotel. It was cool for the outdoor patio, but it is a nice private location with a small pool that would certainly be inviting on a hot day!

The best part about our stay was the exceptionally accommodating, helpful, and welcoming team! They changed our room with no charge when we arrived early in the morning for an early checkin. We subsequently returned for a subsequent stay, and there was a neighborhood-wide power grid issue that led to the hotel's hot water being down. The hotel staff kindly refunded us for 50% of the night with no hot water and offered to book us at a sister hotel or arrange for us to shower there. They really went above and beyond to help us. We also really liked the location. Although parts of downtown Johannesburg are quite down-and-out, the hotel is in an oasis where it is safe and comfortable to walk around a small pedestrian district, shop, attend a performance or go to a museum, or just look at the amazing street art. It was also central to take Ubers elsewhere in the city. Room was modern, comfortable, spacious, and quiet.

The clean rooms with excellent A/C, the good location, the polite and helpful staff. Even the breakfast food was nice and plenteous, and I could see that they were trying to get me to enjoy my stay. Overall, I had a fantastic experience during my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfortable and enjoyable accommodation in the Central Business District of Johannesburg.

The staff is friendly, professional and very helpful. The place is clean, food nice and facilities very good. At first location looks intimidating but I soon warmed up to it. I would advise the local walking tour, Nikki jazz club/ café and definitely the Museum of Africa just around the corner. Being in the “middle” of things makes a big difference. Very good value for money . Will come back !
